It is with deepest sympathy that I write this. Delores was a significant adult figure in my life growing up. She would never know that. I would think of her every now and then recalling how damn hard she worked. She was an excellent 4-H advocate. There was always a 4-H project going on in that home. She taught good work ethic and had expectations. She was tough when she needed to be but was as kind hearted as they come. She was always ready to feed one more and take on one more project if need be. I loved to see her laugh. I loved being in her home. She and Ray came as close as anyone to being an adopted set of parents to me. That is how genuine she and Ray were. Many times I thought I have to contact her and Ray before it's too late. Well it's too late for Delores but I hope she knows that I'm writing this. I have nothing but love and respect for her.

As her daughter in law, I tried to learn as much as I could from her. I learned my love of geneology from her, and my love of baking bread. Like my mother, even when she wasn't working outside the house, she still had a full time job. She never seemed to rest, she was all ways up and working at something. I have heard that some women dislike their mothers in law. From the very first time I met her, I respected her and then I grew to love her. She had a backbone like a steel blade, but a baby's smile melted her right down. I will really miss her. There were so many things I still wanted to say to her and learn from her. I will miss her always.

So sorry to hear of Delores death. I went to school at Blaine with most of the kids. I remember going to their place to work on floats for homecoming. She was a great lady.

Our family is saddened at the loss of Delores. She was very kind and thoughtful. We will miss her! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
